Surface duo 202212/29/2023 The dual-display design makes the Surface Duo well suited for multitasking or interacting with two apps at once. For how hard Microsoft clearly worked to make the Surface Duo as compact as it is, it’s still unwieldy at times. Thus, you might naturally think to stash it in your back pocket, though I wasn’t comfortable doing that either because of how far the top of the phone stuck out of my jeans. The phone’s exterior is clad in white painted glass with a matte white frame, and all that exists to break that up is the stainless-steel double-barrel hinge and similarly-mirrored Microsoft logo.Īdditionally, given its width (the Surface Duo is seven-tenths of an inch wider than the Galaxy Note 20 when closed) this is not a device that’s natural to carry around in a front pocket. In an age of devices with flexible displays, the Duo has two separate, conventional 5.6-inch Gorilla Glass-shrouded panels with gigantic bezels. The Surface Duo looks dull in pictures, it has to be said. Not only does it have a faster Snapdragon 888 processor, it also packs in a bunch of features the original Surface Duo lacked, like Surface Slim Pen 2 support, and new, more versatile, design. With the Surface Duo 2 starting at $1,499, you want to pick up one of those instead. Of course that will only buy you last year's model. The 256GB model is a slightly more expensive $749. That's over 50% off the original price, and the 128GB model is still available at that discounted price point. It dropped to $1,000 ahead of the phones international release, and dropped down to $699 this past May. That said, Microsoft has made some hefty price cuts on this phone since the start of the year.

Alarm clock icon12/29/2023 Tap that son of a dingus, and you'll be taken to a screen where you can configure all sorts of extra actions to accompany your waking. 5: Automated automationĪn especially cool trick in Google's Pixel Clock arsenal is the app's ability to connect to Google Assistant and trigger all sorts of automated actions as part of any alarm you set.īack in the app's Alarm tab, expand an alarm's card and look for the "Google Assistant Routine" option. JRīonus points if you manage to work a convincing Al Pacino impression into your recording. Just follow the same steps we just went over - only this time, look for the "Record new" option within an individual alarm's sound settings. One more potentially alarming alarm option to chew over is the Pixel Clock's amusing ability to let you record your own self-made sound for an extra-special (and/or terrifying) wake-up experience. Smash your favorite phalange down on that option, and you'll then be able to select any compatible sound file from your local phone storage or from any connected cloud services.

Download the new for windows Compressor12/29/2023 Since our algorithm is optimized for PEs, we pre-process the code using advanced algorithms that make it more compressible for dictionary based compressors like LZMA.ĭecreasing your EXE size can actually speed load time because the retrieval time from the storage media or network is often greater than the very rapid decompression time. If you don’t care about your data security, then perhaps you may need to reduce EXE size even further than archivers like ZIP and RAR can achieve. PECompact is technically a Windows executable compressor only, but plug-ins are available for it that offer protection against reverse engineering (some sold separately by third-parties). Compression inherently does this, though it is no fool-proof solution (no fool-proof solution is possible). Software vendors will want to compress their Windows executables for a wide array of reasons, but the usual reason is to help protect the code and data inside. Our biggest client has been Google, used on their Google Desktop product (now discontinued), but countless small and mid size companies and independent developers use PECompact to compress and/or protect their executables. Software distributions large and small have used PECompact. Licenses include annual updates, and the last released version of PECompact during that period can be used indefinitely. An application is defined as an installation package. LICENSING: PECompact is licensed based on how many applications are distributed using it. It has a plugin system that offers virtually limitless customization, setting it apart from all other competitors. You’ll find no other compressor that offers the features of PECompact. PECompact is a Windows executable compressor.

Ghostery logo12/29/2023 On the other hand, in Ghostery we introduced (alongside the traditional content blocker or adblocker), an anti-tracking feature which is not based on blocklists, and is able to remove unsafe datapoints (e.g. not all requests can be blocked otherwise websites are broken, so there needs to be a way to fine-tune the behavior manually). This also means that there is less of a need for dynamic filtering and medium mode, which are mostly needed because of the limitations of content blocking (e.g. This is an interesting point and I think it is worst pointing out that Ghostery is aiming at providing the best privacy protection out-of-the-box. ^1 Ghostery does not have much customization or fine-grained controls (dynamic filtering, medium mode, element picker, etc). For example, Ghostery clears cookies from tracking domains that you did not visit as first parties(!) after an hour or so, hardening the protection further. (A bit like what Safari and Firefox have implemented). On top of the part actively protecting privacy like anti-tracking and content blocking, there are other features to clear cookies from tracker domains to keep a "clean slate", etc. Of course, it depends on how you setup uBlock Origin: The more you block the better, but it also increases breakage, and you will never be able to block everything (this would break a lot of websites and you would have to whitelist some requests, leaving your privacy unprotected). because of slow updates, limited coverage and exceptions for some domains/requests to not break websites), which is why an approach like (3) is desirable. UBlock Origin is a content blocker (and a very good one, Gorhill is doing an amazing work with uBO), but blocklists have well-known limitations which make them an imperfect privacy protection tool (i.e. Ghostery uses a mix of community-driven lists such as uBlock filters – Annoyances and EasyList cookie, as well as some custom filters. Superflex fantasy league12/28/2023 These are equivalent to running back handcuffs. Group F: High-End QB3s, or Backups With Upside If they end up starting, they can fill your second quarterback slot. Group E mirrors Group D - these are the guys who are pushing for the jobs currently held by those in Group D. Group E: QB2s Without a Starting Job - Yet These guys can fill your second quarterback or Superflex slot, but they may not start the full season. These guys can fill your second quarterback or Superflex slot, and you can trust them to keep their job for the full season. While they should finish in the top-14, there’s no guarantee that they will. They’re safe bets to finish in the top-14 quarterbacks. Players are listed in no particular order. To illustrate this point, here are my quarterback groupings at this point in the 2020 offseason. And since you’ll need two quarterbacks every week in 2QB/Superflex leagues, using a tier system like mine can help you structure your roster. I use qualitative and quantitative information when I’m constructing them - that way, I can categorize guys by both their talent and their job security. I like to put quarterbacks into tiers when I’m evaluating them before the season. How do you evaluate quarterbacks in 2QB/Superflex? That brings us to the next step - properly understanding quarterback value. In 2019, this strategy could’ve looked like: Here’s my rule of thumb: pick one elite quarterback in the first two or three rounds, then pick two more guys later in your draft - one with a ton of upside, and another with a solid floor. So while locking down elite guys like Mahomes and Rodgers early would have given you some acceptable returns, they also would’ve capped your upside, as teams that landed Jackson, Prescott, or Winston could’ve invested in other positions earlier. Now let’s look at where the top-five quarterbacks went in drafts last season: While landing two QB1s sounds great at first, they probably would’ve cost you your first two picks, and that would have held you back elsewhere. Though Week 16, Mahomes finished as the QB8 after missing three mid-season games. If you landed both of them in a 2QB/Superflex league draft, you probably felt confident about your roster. Going into 2019, Patrick Mahomes was the consensus QB1, and Aaron Rodgers was a consensus top-three guy in ADP. To illustrate why, consider this hypothetical. Should you balance quarterback scarcity with drafting for value? With how top-heavy the quarterback market is, it’s important to lock down your guys early. Only 19 of them started 15 games or more, while 29 of them started in eight games or fewer. For example, 57 quarterbacks started games in 2019. There are only 32 starters at the position each week, and injuries, positional battles, and other factors create instability in the already-thin market. I’m not saying that you should do what he did, but I am saying that you need to prioritize quarterbacks. Even though he could only start two of them, his control of the quarterback market helped him win the league that year. I’ve played in a Superflex league where an owner drafted one first overall and proceeded to take seven more signal-callers in the draft. Obviously, you must pay more attention to your quarterbacks. How should your draft strategy differ for this format? Since quarterback is such a deep position, quarterbacks don’t have a lot of value in 1QB leagues - but 2QB/Superflex formats significantly increase their value. Six played running back, and only three played wide receiver. In 2019, 11 of the top-20 fantasy scorers played quarterback. This is a game-changer, as quarterbacks are typically the highest-scoring players week-in and week-out, and you’ll want to start two quarterbacks in both formats. I didn’t win that year - and I certainly don’t remember who I drafted - but I learned some important lessons along the way.Ĭomplete early mock drafts using our free draft simulator What are 2QB/Superflex leagues?Ī 2QB league requires that you start two quarterbacks, while a Superflex league allows you to start two quarterbacks by giving you a “Superflex” spot for any position. I didn’t know enough to run my own, so I joined a random league in NFL.com’s lobby. My first fantasy football league was a 2QB/Superflex league.
